About Eatables:One day me and my friends planned to have a feast in a restaurant but we were not sure which restaurant would offer our type of menu.We also didnt know about the timings of the restaurants and also the variety of cuisines they offer. We went directly to a hotel / restaurant and waited for one full hour to get a table and wasted another fifteen mintures wondering what to order as we didnt know what was the menu before hand. On that day I thought it would be a good idea to collect and maintain a directory of Hotels / Restaurants and the type of cuisines they offer and last but not least the exact address of the restaurants. I even thought of having a map, so that people who are new to the cities / metros or even the locals who are not aware of restaurants will find it easy to see their favorite restaurants / hotels / pubs / hangouts etc., on a easy to use map. The map i was thinking about should be 100% flexible meaning it should be possible to Zoom In/Zoom out and to move in any direction. I discussed this idea with my best friend Koushik and he immediately appreciated this idea and we decided to create a site that caters to all those things. Immediately we gave the name for the site as 'Eatables' because this site ultimately has to provide booking for restaurants and later hotels. |
